What finishing protection should you use on your decking?
Most woods used for making deck planks or deck tiles are either naturally suited for outdoor use or are treated to prepare them for this purpose.
After the deck tiles or wooden deck planks are installed, it is strongly recommended that you oil the floor with a special oil for outdoor wood. This protection will prevent the wood from fading, which will then keep its original color for longer.
Ideally, you should repeat the oiling operation once or twice a year for a perfect, long-lasting result.
A wood left ‘natural’ will develop a protective grey layer upon contact with UV rays.
