Our approach to CSR

Committed approach responsible choices
Environmental issues have been at the heart of our concerns for many years. We have implemented concrete measures throughout the life cycle of our products. Our sustainable development policy aims to reduce our carbon footprint. We favour materials from well-managed forests.
We invest in the reforestation of French forests through Ecotree. We choose products that are healthy for indoor air and have introduced an eco-contribution to finance the recycling of our products.
These actions demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable future.

We support Responsible forest management
At Décoplus Parquets, we select our products using raw materials from responsibly managed forests.
As a partner of PEFC France (number 10-4-179), we support sustainable forest management.
Choosing a PEFC-certified product means guaranteeing that the wood comes from responsible sources and contributes to the preservation of forests. PEFC, the world leader in forest certification, guarantees strict traceability of supplies at all stages of processing and marketing.

We are committed for a healthy interior
Our commitment to the environment and health guides our choice of paints, adhesives and maintenance products.
We take particular care to ensure that these products contain little or no solvents. We ensure that our products reduce dust emissions and meet strict standards for formaldehyde and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions.
You can take advantage of the labelling system in place since 1 January 2012, which indicates the level of volatile emissions. This transparency allows you to make informed, responsible choices for your health and the preservation of our environment.
But don't forget to air your home for 10 to 15 minutes a day to maintain healthy indoor air!

Taking part in the reforestation of our forests
For several years, Décoplus Parquets has been working with EcoTree, Europe's leading provider of nature-based solutions, to actively participate in the reforestation of French forests. EcoTree buys and restores damaged forests or creates new ones.
To support this initiative, we have launched the operation
1 Parquet Bought = 1 Tree Planted
How does it work? For every parquet floor ordered (in our showroom or via our e-shop), we commit to planting a tree. The wood in your floor becomes a tree, and you help to restore our French forests, protect biodiversity and combat global warming.
More than 58,700 trees have been planted to date.

Setting up the eco-contribution for a responsible life cycle
As part of the French law on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), we joined the government-approved eco-organisation VALOBAT to set up the eco-contribution scheme. Once again, this scheme reflects our commitment to the environment.

What is the eco-contribution?
Eco-contribution is a financial contribution to support the collection, recycling and recovery of end-of-life waste from our products. This system contributes to the development of recycling channels and the creation of eco-designed raw and secondary materials, while minimising the environmental impact of our parquet flooring.
What is the amount of the eco-contribution?
The amount of the eco-contribution varies according to the type of product, as it takes into account the recyclability* of the materials that make up the product. Solid wood flooring, engineered wood flooring, laminate flooring and glue pots are not recycled in the same way or with the same ease.
Is the environmental fee included in the product price?
For greater transparency, we have decided not to include the eco-tax in the price of our products. So on your order form, for each product, you'll be able to see the amount of the eco-tax, with a total at the end corresponding to the sum of the eco-contribution. We pay the entire eco-contribution to Valobat.
Together we help to reduce our environmental footprint by ensuring that our products have a responsible life cycle.
