Located on the third floor of a suburban building in Paris's 10th arrondissement, this walk-through apartment received plenty of natural light but lacked character and organisation. The renovation opened up a vast, light-filled living space combining the kitchen, dining room and lounge. The original wooden beams, exposed and reworked, amplify the perspective. At the rear, the sleeping area comprises a courtyard bedroom connected to the bathroom and a guest room/office on the street side, which is accessed via a discreet door from the living room.

The oiled, smoked, ecological oak herringbone parquet flooring is perfectly matched to the restored beams and custom-made furniture, structuring the space and enhancing the natural light. Its patina will develop over time, and its intense smoking and assertive texture make it ideal for families with children and pets.
